Description

Using the Burda pattern 6038. Made size 50. Omitted the piping in the bodice, and finished the armhole seam a bit differently to the instructions: I sewed the armhole seams right sides together (before sewing the side seam) and then pulled it through the shoulder strap to get it the right way again (sounds confusing, but makes sense once you’re actually doing it, I hope).
Not sure if I cut the skirts correctly, but somehow I needed to add another pleat on each front to be able to match the skirt width with the bodice width(even after I gathered as tightly as I could).
Tip: after gathering the skirt make sure the skirt parts fit the bodice BEFORE tying knots into the gathering threads!
All in all the pattern fitted quite well and I’m happy with the result.
