I seem to always buy more fabric than I need for projects and so after making the denim pencil skirt I had enough left over that I could make a Sidonie A line skirt too, what a bonus! I did however forget that at 5ft 8" I should always lengthen patterns and only realised that I hadnt when it came to hemming and it was already a tad shorter than I wanted. So I figured out how to make a band and I sewed that around the bottom edge and now I kind of like how that came out. I also made the waist band a bit wider to balance out the lower hem band. A nice couple of modifications that were not planned. Should have ironed it better before taking the pictures, oh well ….
