I made this dress for my niece who is 12 and now I want it for myself. I always seem to start with a fabric that I love and from there emerged a sundress. It cant be helped since I live in FL and it is the sunshine state. We’ve had a cold cold winter and I am so glad for the warm weather and hence sun dresses here we come. Its very simple. For the bodice, its a square band with darts to mold to the bust. (We, women with the bust lines are glad for the gift but dont envy us because it is difficult to contain specially as we get older). Anyway, skirt is also pretty much a two big squares. I used a satin trim at the top and for the straps.
Cotton print, satin
