It looks great in the picture, but this dress has a few problems. I find that I am constantly fussing with the skirt when I wear it. I had planned to make the Burda Dress With Elastic Waistband #116 , but found that the waistband style on the pattern did not work very well with my body type. The partial elastic around the waist ended up pulling the fabric over my round middle creating a dress that looked too big in the back and too small in the front. To solve this I created a tie to use around my middle section. The tie looks fine, but I am finding that the fabric shifts funny when I wear it. The pattern balance may not be right for this type of waistband. I don’t recommend this style curvy girls unless you have a flat tummy shape. I made some changes to the style of the yoke on the dress in the front and love the way it worked out. The yoke and sleeve are my favorite part of the dress.

I agree with your review. I have made other Burda patterns that call for similar skirt. The skirt part of the dress in the magazine looks roomy, but after seeing the technical drawing, I am skeptical the skirt is spacious enough for my thighs so it does not ride up when worn. Although I have rather flat tummy, I have big bottoms and beefy legs. If I am to make this, I will have to change the skirt to a generous A-line shape rather than straight.
