A summerdress – easy, comfy and cute. I made this of a McCall pattern – from their easy stitch line. I really wanted a quick, easy dress – but still nice and in 50s style. I took a chance on the cloth – it is a bit stiff as it is printed cotton, and also a chance because I never usually would go for something this girly. I tried to match up the cheques in front – and I almost succeded – It was measured out perfetly but one part is slightly of. Other than that the fabric was easy to work with.
No real kinks at all. I shortened up the skirt, changed the shoulder straps and put in lining to give more fullness to the skirt.
Now I just need a way to tone the girlyness down a notch or two
Printed Cotton. Cotton/silk blen for lining. Thread. Pink zipper and hook/eye.
