My first ever knit dress made by combining three patterns (bodice, sleeves, skirt) and adding a few extra bits of my own. Because I wasn’t sure of the fit I decided to use a basting stitch before getting out the overlocker. As a result the sewing process went smoothly and I ended up with a garment I love and enjoyed making (as opposed to my “knit nightmare”). As the blue was very blue and I don’t tend to wear all solid colours I added a little bird trim and made a sash to go with it.
Some kind of acrylic blend for the knit and spotlight cotton fat quarter.

I use a janome overlocker that can be used for stretch and woven. For the hems and neckline I use my normal sewing machine, often with the twin needles.

Your dress is lovely! I love the trim/border/strip you added to accentuate the front in a bib-like way and the sash is a great detail! Great job!
