I made this thinking of warm weather and today we had a warm sunny day. I used a batik fabric that I had in my stash. I’m trying this year to use all my fabric in my stash. I will stay away from the fabric store until this is done. This is my mantra but i dont know if it is working. Anyways, I used a pattern tunic that has been modified many times. I added ties which I think look a little bit nautical.

These ties are a very nice idea, together with this gorgeous fabric they make the shirt to something very special.

50% OFF RED TAG??? OH.NO. you see i only buy the red tag fabric to begin with. i’m not experienced enough at sewing to buy any full price fabric. so 50% off of red tag is M.A.J.O.R. i don’t think i can abstain from such a deal!!!

very nice. i too have vowed not to buy any fabric until i use up quite a bit of what i already have. but that didn’t stop me from walking through a joann’s yesterday because i was in the neighborhood. i was very good. i went straight to the sale section JUST TO LOOK….oh man it was torture!!!!

Mo-mo-sew-sew I hate to tell you this but the next week will be very hard for us trying to abstain because Joann has 50% off the red tag fabrics. They always get me, those red tag fabrics.

Very cute and somehow it made me think of sea (ties or not) even before I read your words about nautical look of the ties. :-) And, boy, do I envy your weather!!! ;-) (in a good way, of course)
