I found this pattern on a web site fabric.com. Its a great pattern. I have use a blue & white flecked single knit. I applied the facing band like I would bias tape. On the right side I used a top stitch as I do not have a serger. I think I will make others in the shades that I need. Right now I am working on putting things together for an office wardrobe.
This is a great pattern from hot patterns.com – they are cross promoting their pattern with the knits on sale on the fabric.com webpage. I like to give entrepreneurs my business. Very thoughtful to share with people. I did modify the pattern because I did not have enough material. I made the cuff of the sleeve a single cut and raised it to make it a 3/4 sleeve. I wanted to do it with a full double cuff in another material.
This is my muslin. I will wear it. I like the button. That was not part of the pattern. Yet I know myself & I like to feel snuggy. I also do like button up cardigans because it adds to a business casual look.
This project was affordable under $5 of materials. I will probably make a simple pull up skirt to match.
Will certainly make another in black. Red totally would work – for summer a light jersey would be ideal,
My mom has already placed an order! I still need to press it. However want to wear it to work tomorrow! My cat approves and has supervise the construction of this garment.
