Description

Nice, easy summer dress from an early 1960’s pattern. I changed the skirt so that it was gathered all around, shortened skirt to just above knee, and made some adjustments on the bodice to make up for not having sixties undergarments. I liked having sleeves, though the straight-across look was a little matronly, but have since removed them as they were just a bit too restrictive for normal life. I’m thinking this will be a good bodice sloper for experiments in the future…

    It came out looking great! It doesn’t look matronly at all to me. Would love to also see a picture without the sleeves.

      Thanks! I don’t actually like the silhouette as much without sleeves, I think it needs to be cut in a little. Maybe when it gets warm enough to wear without a sweater I will go at it with scissors and update :)
