… and since the summer is still months away, I brougth the summer out in the snow!
When making this blouse I had this thought in mind: Late summer night, sitting outside a restaurant, sharing a good bottle of wine with even better friends. No worries and nothing but time. Therefore I made this classic blouse in a light chiffon material, perfect for such summer nights. I added a silk detail in the front to make it more interesting. The colour has also the sommer feeling in mind.
The blouse is based on a pattern from Butterick, with quite a few changes of course.

This is so beautiful!!! I really like the color, the pearl beads, and the front detail in silk is a really nice touch! Which Butterick pattern did you modify? Was the curved inset/bib part hard to sew?

Thanks! Glad to hear you like it :-). The pattern I’ve used is B5284. Actually I’ve simplefyed the inset. It was originally pleated. It wasn’t too hard. Just needed to be accurate when pressing and stitching to make both sides even. Hope that was helpful :-)
