Loose-fitting blouse with bias tie collar, gathered sleeve cap, and narrow hem. I love this blouse! No separate facings. Only a strip of interfacing 3 cm wide fused to the inside of the sleeve band to avoid that orange-peel look one usually gets when working with fusible interfacings. Even those touted as “professional” don’t look so professional after washing. (Edited to say that this garment does indeed have interfacing, as before I wrote that it did not.)

I’ve had lots of practice sewing a narrow rolled hem, using a 4mm hemmer presser foot and a straight stitch needle plate. I recommend Brian’s youtube tutorial video on using a 3mm narrow hemmer foot. And practice, practice, practice! on lots of scraps.

The pattern for this blouse was Butterick 5711 view D. I just shortened the sleeve to elbow length. The sleeves for view D is a lot less fuller than the sleeves for view B. I drafted a new sleeve band.
