Burda Style For people who sew

Well, this is my design for the Burdastyle Handbook! I feel so honored to have been chosen to participate on the first BSHandbook!!! When I received the invitation, I had tiers in my eyes, because in a way, it is a little girl dream-come true!!! What an honor to have my design in Burda!!!!The blouse is made is silk Chiffon and fine french lace that was use “under” the chiffon. I added an extra peplum, and more room to the sleeves and double cuffs to this 3/4length sleeve. Also a long belt finish with….a rose!!! you know….I love flowers!!! All the finishings are made by hand, the belt and the peplums are hand rolled…..I really had fun making it and thought that with a lace long skirt, would look lovely for a second wedding….what do you think??

Thank you so much Laura!!! Actually, I gave it to my mother as a present, and she wore it this week for a party, and told me that everybody complemented her and her blouse. Warm regards from the rainforest!!!

OMG!!! You are in the book! Many many congrats! Well I shouldn’t be surprised at all:) This is amazing! What an idea to put lace under the chiffon. You know, I think you should crossbreed your talent with domestic-divaonline. Dear Adriana, i’m spechless one more time!!!! What a beautiful creation, what a great honor that you have been choose for, you are such an example of someone who is in love with what you do, and fills everything with passion!!!! I got married 3 times (don’t panic, with the same guy all of them) and if we ever decided to renew our votes, once again ( I’m not sure if this is the right word to mean “renovar votos”) i will love to wear something as exquisite as that blouse!!! Hi fashionfreekk, thank you very much for your coment, and actually, this blouse is made with a burda pattern, one of the 5 patterns of the book, and….chiffon….is not that easy to handle…..since it is very soft and thin, but with a bit of practice that you do before esembling the piece, it will be fine.
