In an old issue of the Burda magazine (07/2008) I found the Designer Pattern (no. 127) for this skirt and blouse and loved it from the beginning. For I long time I was looking for just the right fabric and found it last spring in London. It’s a silk (quite stiff/rigid?), similar to tie-silk and perfect for the dress. It was quite easy to sew, just had minor difficulties with the pleats in the front and due to those with the correct fit. The blouse closes with a zipper in the back. I am really proud of it and worn it looks even better. And at least I found the perfect shoes to go with it, but that’s another (long) story….

Thank you Anne. When I saw this in the magazine I knew I wanted to make it, but I took my time to find the right fabric. The outcome ist perfect (for me). And the fabric is perfect for that collar.

Thank you again. Finding shoes was quite tricky. The fabric is a very dark blue but it is not dark enough to go for black. So black shoes looked weird and “normal” blue shoes didn’t fit either. Then I found my shoes in the outlet of Bally, I think no one bough them, cause the black was more of a shade of blue… I saw them, they fit, they matched the dress so I got them and even at a very good price :) Thank you for your compliments!
