Japanese Sashiko Stitch Pattern named “Blossom”.
usually woman do SASHIKO to make cloth strong.
clothes was very expensive at that time, “broken” doesn’t mean throw away..
fixed it beautifully and, use it again.
also, girls who not marriage yet must master the skill of sewing(not only SASHIKO though,,) to get better husband.
there is tans of Sashiko patterns. this is only one of them.
Today,this kind of Sashiko cloth called “Hana-Fukin” means “Flowery cloth”.
we use “Han-Fukin” in Kitchen, bathroom, and everywhere and anyways we like.
