South Of Eden, M...

A cute dress I made for my daughter (and me). Mine doesn’t look so flattering without any darts, so I am going to make some alterations. This design has always been my favourite.

This really is so lovely – the fabric is adorable and your daughter is a cutie! Nice one Darl! You would look gorgeous in it too with a belt or something – we over 30’s have gotta just go for it – we look GREAT! :))

Adorable, love the print and the style looks comfy and easy for kids to wear, I’d wear it too with a belt! Your daughter’s a cutie!

Ok. I used the picture as a guide to make the pattern myself from a Simplicity Catalogue dating back from 1979. There is a shirt similar to this and it says that it is pattern 8327 (Girl’s jiffy pullover blouse). I believe you can find it on the Net.
This dress is actually elongated version of this

      Hope this was helpful!

If you made one for you too, and worried how it is less than flattering without darts…did you try putting a belt on with it?

That was my first thought (well, ok I’ll put a belt on) but I have so many dresses with belts I simply wanted something different.

I think it would look cute with a belt or scarf …because the top seems too poofy for darts to make it fitted, but that is just my opinion. :)
