I was finally in the mood again for sewing last weekend, so I made this dress for a wedding this Sat. I have always wanted a black lace dress and had this black stretch lace in my stash waiting to be made into something pretty! I lined it with beige jersey to show the floral design. I sewed gathered frill elastic onto the bust line and finished the hem off with a gathered lace frill. I am happy with how it turned out and think I will get a lot of wear out of this dress – lets hope we’re invited to lots more weddings :-)

Very Pretty! I’m making a full length dress for a wedding with these same materials, I wasn’t sure how they would suit together but now I see them on your dress and I see they they look fabulous. I won’t have pics up for another few weeks as the wedding isn’t on until February.

Is long long time i wanted sew something similar: a drk lace with a nude base! and this pattern is suitable… i think i’ll look for something similar. and i think you will find many occasions to wear it. Very very nice!
