This Burdadress I made last year, but I only wore it once (just like another member of the Burdaforum). It is too stiff and too formal. I feel overdressed in it. But the fabric didn’t cost me more than a few euro. It was fun making it.
First layer is a kind of see through cotton organza, second layer is polyester (?) lining.

Wearing this dress with something fun, eg an enormous beaded necklace, might make you feel more relaxed.

It looks perfect for work or a casual evening with friends. It looks great on you. Love the fabric.

Too formal! I’d have to disagree, the fabrics look so breezy (though maybe they’re not?) and the shape is so pretty for a normal day of frolicking about. ….Maybe you don’t frolick, but this dress would cause me to frolick, anyway! :)

I don’t think it looks formal either. Especially with the top underneath. It looks like one of those dresses that could go from work to a party with the right accessories, but not too formal. I really like it a lot.

I like this dress. I don’t think it’s too formal, I would wear it for daily occasions, at work too. I was considering to use the same pattern.

I like it a lot – which pattern is it?
