Description

I wanted to try it for long time … now I did it: my first cape. I chose a pattern form the Burdastyle Easyfashion Magazin autumn/winter 2011 because I like the hood so much. Also the pattern includes a nice detail with the armholes and godets behind the zippers in the front.
I used a darkblue woolen fabric for coats and added a blue plaid cotton for the lining (a leftover of my vintagedress ).
I’m happy with the result and the look reminds my of a classy and a bit british way to style. I can also wear my selfknitted gauntlets to keep my arms warm.

      The pattern is from the currently “special” german magazine of Burdastyle “Easyfashion” … They bring out one every six month and the included patterns are very easy to do. Maybe you find an german online shop where you can order the magazine.

    Really cute! It’s funny but I was thinking I really need a cape to wear when riding on my bicycle – it just calls for it :-)
