Blank Canvas Tee Hacks

Added Mar 8, 2012

Los Angeles, Cal...

Steph from graciously made this pattern available for free on her site; I printed it out and was so thrilled that I made two versions in two days. The first was inspired by Jason Wu’s bow tie tee for Target; I simply added a rectangle of black mesh fabric at the collar and tied it at the center front. The second version was inspired by Colette Pattern’s Macaron dress; I had a little trouble with the placement of the seam between the green and black fabrics, but it still turned out great.

More pictures and construction details here.

Material Notes

a very thin, drapey, slinky rayon jersey and a black poly mesh knit

Wow – looks great! Like the first one a tiny bit better, but both look really great. Congratulation!

The Tees look great. I especially like the second one……..the seams look great though! It does not look like you had problems with it
