Description

At about this time last year i was watching the first gossip girl season. i basically fell in love with everything Blaire wore/her mother designed…. this is i guess a waldorf inspired top :p
it was just made out of two pieces of rectangualr fabric, and it played around with the pleats at the neckline until i got it how i liked. the back didnt fit quite right (because i was lazy and should have put some more thought into it) so i put in a box pleat and added some prettty lace

It looks great! Reminds me a lot of Blair too – it must be the colour. I wish I had her wardrobe :)

oh, Blair is a doll! And you have captured a little of her prep here. Adding the detail at the back after discovering the fit wasn’t right is totally what a software creator would call “it’s not a bug, it’s a feature!”. It’s a phrase used to describe anything fabulous that originated from an error. The difference is a software engineer rarely fixes it, it is just a direct by-product of the error. A sewer, however, usually uses their perseverance and creativity to turn it into something wonderful. And you have surely persevered and created here. Nice one.
