Blade Runner Dress

Added Sep 26, 2012

by Leila Breton

Indianapolis`, I...

I took the Panel dress from Spring 2011 and used leatherette for the center panel and a sueded suiting (or so I’m guessing) for the rest. I was going for something fun and edgy and special fun occasions. I also love that it reminds me of Blade Runner. The geek in me smiles every time I put this dress on.

I cut it shorter and had to alter for a larger chest. I also had to alter the back quite a bit but that’s because of my own personal fit issues, probably unrelated to the pattern.

Check out my blog post related to this dress:

Material Notes

sueded suiting, leatherette

Garment Type
Leather/Fur, Suiting

I’m about to make that jacket + the sonja dress from burda (free pattern download). I bet the combo of those 2 materials would look great. Like a leather top and soft bottom
