Description

Arrrrrg. I’m frustrated with the collar, it’s waaaay wider than the pic on the pattern envelope. When I asked my husband what he thought, he paused for a minute, and the best he could come up with was that the collar made me look like a “sailor or nurse.” I am, however, very pleased with the bagged lining – where you sew a second version of the jacket with lining and facings, sew the 2 together, and leave a hole in the lining to pull through the finished jacket. This was the best one yet.

Stretchy black fabric, New Look Project Runway pattern.
Should have made a muslin first to work out the pattern kinks…

I personally love the collar and I think it suits you. It balances your shoulders and makes your waist slimmer which always makes us girls happy. Don’t be too hard on yourself as I really do think your suit is great and looks so nice on you. ps: husbands aren’t always the best critics-they would love how you looked dressed in a paper bag!
