Here is a cardi I drafted from the sadie pattern a while ago. I added a scoop neck and sleeves. I want to add a few more buttons at the bottom but i’m not sure whether I should since I hope to be expanding in the next few months (as you can probably see!).
I finally got my hands on some proper cuffing/ribbing which is virtually impossible to find in fabric stores these days, I had to ask my sis-in-law in London to go to a shop she knew had some.
Black Jersey Black Ribbing
Thanks to Rolls and Rems in London, lewisham for the ribbing (visit this store if you can!)

Wow – this is brilliant! Thanks for the ribbing tip, I’m a south london gal and I couldnt find ribbing anywhere so this is great!
By the way, next time you are in london – or tell your sis in law – you must go to Fabrics Galore in Clapham, it is the best fabric shop in town in my opinion, well worth a visit, its a total hidden gem ;)

Congratulations Bola!!! I’m so happy for you! This is a beautiful cardigan- great work! I love the scoop neck and the ribbing detail! I think you should go ahead and add the buttons on the bottom- you can always just keep them unbuttoned! That’s how I wear my cardigans :) It’s fabulous!

Bola, what a beautiful cardigan! I hope it will keep on fitting your tummy, congratulations! I wish you all the best with the pregnancy and am looking forward to your next projects! (I like your style a lot and I suppose you will be sewing a lot soon to fit your tummy!)
Like nikishell, if you have the time to post the alterations, I would love to see them! My sister loves to wear this kind of cardi’s, maybe I could make one for her or maybe she’ll want to make one herself!
And wow, you found ribbing! I will remember the shopname, if ever I go back to London… But it’s quite far from the center…
Kosmika, if someone tells you about the online store, I’m interested too!
Have a nice day everyone :)

Congratulations! :) …and the cardi is really nice. I agree with you on ribbing, it’s soooooo hard to find and when you find it it’s awful… do anyone know a good online (in the EU) store???
