Burda Style For people who sew

My friend Sylvia, is the top wedding organizer in this country, and she needs to be very confortable, but at the same time elegant during the “grand event day”. This time, I designed for her, this black silk organza blouse, trimmed with white horse hair, to make sure the ruffles do not go down and also the spectacular look that she needs to wear. Of course, she wore a strapless lycra blouse under this one, and a pair of palazzo black silk pants with a long sash on her small waist. The sleeves are 3/4 length, and cut on the bies for confort. Material Notes
100% silk organza, and metres and metres of fine horse hair.

Adriana, you’re my saving grace. I’ve been trying to figure out how to say horsehair braid in Spanish for a week! What I want is like what Gertie used on her circle skirts here on BurdaStyle. Can you help?! Your blouse is another great reason to know what this is called so I can purchase it! ;) Using it on those ruffles is sheer genius!

Beautiful Work!!! Could tell that the “curl ruffles” were created by an expert tailor, had seen grandparents (couture tailors) used the horsehair braid on top using a satin bias over the horsehair braid years ago on wedding dresses and veils. You are very talented!!!.
