I drafted these pants myself. I wanted light and comfy pants with a high waist and pleats for summer. The linen I bought turned out to be bit heavy and itchy and the pants are rather big including the monstrous pleats I made. So I’m only semi-happy with the way they turned out. Also I cut them too short (grrr) so I couldn’t hem them properly but only tucked in the bottom slightly. My boyfriend calls them my karate pants, so, yes, they didn’t turn out as elegantly as I wanted them to look :)

Well, I think they’re very posh and flattering on you. I’ll definitely be making the Marilyn Trousers out of black linen to match my Stella Jacket in black linen for a perfect suit. Thanks for the excellent inspirations from your great execution of this style. The tucked-in cardigan? OMG. Rock it!

Girl these pants are awsome! When I was browsing the pics I stopped immediately and said, “Ooh, like them! I want some.” lol

cute pants, like the loose style with higher waist. very nice for summer! maybe if you have some extra fabric maybe you could add a band at the bottom to extend the length and give the hem some weight. I’ve done this a few times when my pants somehow ended up a smidge too short.

Yes, that’s a good idea. Thanks for your tip. I will defintiely do that if I’m wearing them again next summer.
