This is a top from a Butterick discontinued pattern named B5562. The pattern suggests the use of moderate stretch knits only. However I thought of using an artificial leather fabric. What a mistake! The end result was a top unsuitable for workwear (my original intention). The fabric was quite stiff so the gathered sleeves were toooo eminent. The sleeves’ shoulders were sticking out so much that this top was more suited for a Mad Max movie than anything else. That should teach me next time to follow pattern suggestions. Anyway, it found its use at a photo shoot for fashion peoples’ books.

The picture is awesome, too bad the top won’t really be wearable, but kudos for trying :)

Thank you for your remarks. Mind you, this is not me in the picture which was taken by a professional photographer.

OK, I had something similar in mind, not with the same patters, but similar, and this time I will learn from your mistake… but honestly, photo is just fantastic
