black leather clutch

Coeur D'alene, I...

I made this clutch for my sister-in-law for Christmas. It was supposed to be a few inches bigger but in construction, I ripped the leather in about an inch so I had to cut it down. The leather was very soft which I loved but it makes for a too slouchy bag. The corner creases and cardboard inside the top helped to counter this a tad.

Material Notes

Leather(I think its sheepskin), sturdy lining, vintage red zipper

I found the pattern on this page

very cool. i love to make bags out of real leather, but my machine struggles a bit with it, so the top stitching nerver looks very neat. yours looks perfect.
