I made this project by putting together my favorite Simplicity bodice pattern and the Burda pattern for Marilyn pants. The project took ALOT of altering (I altered the pleats in the pants, took them in, took out the zipper in front and added the zipper in back, and shortened the pattern) but all in all I am happy with how it turned out.
I used a black stretch crepe material that ended up looking a lot like black corduroy.

the pattern is Simplicity 2440….its for a huge ball-gown of a prom dress, but the pattern is so easy to mix and match/adjust!!

This is entirely stunning – the simple black, the pleats, the bodice, the fabric… And what Simplicity bodice is this? It seems perfect for all sorts of things!

Thank you so much! Yes, the pattern is hugely versatile and can be paired with just about any bottom (the bodice does use boning). Its Simplicity 2440. It is more of a prom dress pattern but it does the trick perfectly!
