I started my collaboration with my assistant Simona , so I can’t say its my design only! But I can say its our first design! It really makes a difference to have someone like her helping me! In short, this top wouldn’t be what it is without her!
Making it was lots of fun and very challenging! The fabric gauze – organza with in-built striations seemed to frown when I manifested my wish for zig-zagged edges but we found a way to “make it work” – of course it had to be me to find a way and it had to be me to find the patience – the frill is meters long- all together I think it took more than 10 hours of work! Just out of curiosity, I will time my next project for a more accurate report!
The thread on the edges is specially made for zardozi embroidery – which is one of the most amazing styles of embroidery on earth! Back to that hopefully soon when I make an attempt☺
