Description

Made for an anti-Valentine party and auction at Latitude 53 Gallery. I modified the Diana pattern by cutting out a heart shape in the cover flap, then inserting layers of clear vinyl, lace, and a white backing.

Material Notes

vinyl, lace

Love your version of this bag. So much cuter than the pattern photo!

What type of thread did you use with your vinyl? I’ve been using upholstry heavy thread and love it. Thanks

i used upholstery thread as well! i also put some scotch tape on the pressure foot (had to cut out a hole for the needle to go through) to help the vinyl glide along.

Thanks! This was a fun one. I’m going to experiment with putting different materials behind the clear vinyl: other fabric, paper, even objects…
