Description

This is the first dress I drafted from my custom bodice and skirt blocks! I used a lovely cotton eyelet from Gorgeous Fabrics and lined the whole thing with a light black cotton batiste. I thrifted the thin belt for $2 and it’s perfect! I put horsehair braid in the hem to make the half circle skirt stand out at the hem and I just LOVE the effect! I just love this dress and even better – it fits me perfectly! More deets see the blog http://coutureacademic.wordpress.com/2013/09/14/one-block-two-dresses/

Lovely! And how cool that you self drafted it to your size! It really looks perfectly fitted!

Thanks! I love that I only had to put in the hard fitting yards (and they were hard) once…and then it’s all about style and tweaking!
