Burda Style For people who sew
Description
My first pair of pants, also my first fly front and first slash pockets. Despite stressing out the whole way through sewing these, the pattern is good as I managed to produce a pair of wearable pants. More about the pattern, some more pics of inside/interior and how I ended up modifying the pockets on my blog. Also, black is very hard to photograph!!
Material Notes
Cotton sateen with a very slight stretch. Probably not the best choice for this pattern but ok.

These pants look great and look like a good fit on you. I really like your idea of using the floral facings and pocket linings.

Thanks. I had to go contrast fabric because I didn’t have quite enough fabric to cut the facings but It ended up a happy accident in the end.

Great looking pants! I know black is hard to photograph, but it looks like the fit is right on. Don’t stress about redoing/unpicking etc, all that time spent is improving your skills! great work!

they look great on you .would you recommend this pattern? my friend wants me to make her faux leather trousers and i.m looking for a good pattern x

These pants are really wide legged. I took them in over 4 inches and they are still very wide on me, not sure how that would work in leather…it is a good pattern though, its nicely drafted.
