Description

There’s a cat that I often see on our backyard wall, he’s a little scruffy but quite cute and having done a few sketches of him I thought I’d turn him into a lucky black cat and put him on my top. I used a black broderie anglaise fabric and metallic thread to applique him on in blanket stitch. I finished him off with satin stitch eyes and nose.

Cotton jersey top
Silky broderie anglaise for applique

Thank you! I’ve worn it a few times, people do comment on it which I always think is quite satisfying when you’ve made something yourself.
