My first attempt at the Larissa jacket! Have been wanting to make one out of faux leather for a while, but decided to try it in black calico first in case it was a disaster. Was surprisingly easy once I got past the confusion of the pleats. Have made a couple of small mistakes which I’ll be avoiding when I do the leather version (accidentally attached the collar AFTER adding the front facing) and I left off the main zipper as not to waste it on a practice garment. Still need to line it, but am putting it up as it is since I can’t believe I actually managed to get it looking like this!
Black calico, black thread, silver zips, silver pyramid studs for the shoulder taps.

Your Larissa jacket looks amazing! :D I’m stuck at the pleats as well and I was hoping that I could ask you for some advice. I’ve sent you a message :)

This looks fantastic! I’ve been meaning to have a go at the Larissa myself, but as confident beginner in sewing I was a bit hesitant, a jacket seems much more intimidating than a skirt! This looks so great, you’ve inspired me to have a go myself!

Thanks so much! I had a bit of trouble with the pleats (took me a while to realise the pleat is actually the bit you don’t see folded under) and putting the sleeves on (I think the pattern is made with extra room to put shoulder pads in), but for the most part it was quite straightforward. If you have a go and get stuck message me and I’ll try and assist!
