Burda Style For people who sew

I still can’t believe how comfortable it feels and how you can hardly notice it while wearing. I’m not surprised if I forget to wear it someday.
I previously owned two somewhat called bodies. White, lacy and cost me only 0,064 euros on a flea market.
Now I had to sew another during one of my school projects. I was a bit skeptical at first because my previous bodies serve more of a decorative purpose. As I decided to make something I would actually wear, I had to have a very skin-friendly fabric. So I found a black jersey made of viscose, in addition I also had to purchase different types of elastic bands, hooks and golden pearls for embellishment.

Yep, I think one is just not enough.
I drafted the pattern myself but it’s quite easy, you just have to consider the elasticity of the fabric.

you did a really good job on this, i was thinking of doing something similiar for wearing with my dresses. i found one in a 70’s burda that would suit.i have a long torso so shop bought ones are no use on me. x

A simple body is quite hard to find in Estonia, so I’m glad I don’t have to depend on what the stores have to offer.
Bodies are quite versatile, you can wear them as tops or just under a garnment..
