Description

I am thrilled I have made a pair of pants that fit! I had to make some changes to the crotch seam as I was sewing them (thankfully I tried them on before I completely finished them). I used our Everyday Trousers pattern and make them in a size 38 instead of 40 which I usually make in bottoms. I wanted them to have a snug fit and I used fabrics with crosswise stretch to them so they would hug my curves.

I added a style line down the centers of the front and back legs, and cropped the hem to the ankle. The curse of doing that though is that I have to always wear these pants with heels haha.

These pants were my recent “Mash Up” so you can see my series of drafting and sewing posts for these pants here.

I am really liking these pants and the fabrics I chose. I also really like the rise in these pants and how they go right up to my natural waist.

Yep. I totally agree. It is a young, cool, talling and slimming all in one look. Must make it! It will probably my first ever pair of trousers ;-)

The colour blocking is so fun! I imagine that the t-shirt was inspiration, because these two pieces go together perfectly! YES!
