Description

I saw a pattern by Simplicity about ten years ago and I created something sort of similar, as best as I could remember. I used a silk brocade fabric. There is a lot of sewing detail in this for the back. (hope it comes through in the photos). It has something like a court train (not quite as long…depending on the height of the wearing or heels vs flats.) It is cut like two skirts, one long, one short but sewn as one. It looks heavy, but it is fairly lightweight and would work in many seasons. In the last pic, I tried to show the detail at the back and used a white page between the layer to offset the black fabric on black fabric.

Material Notes

I used petersham ribbon to make the optional bow tie at the back. zipper
