I’ve been playing with different dyeing techniques. The main part of this is based on ice dyeing. I chose a pattern with uber flattering black side panels to allow the print to take center stage (and to give an illusion of an hourglass figure). I made this in a size 10, but had to take in the sides a lot to get a more fitted silhouette. The side parts are stretch denim, so it was possible to get a pretty close fit without too much trouble.
The second dress was a muslin for this one.
Dress 1: Dyed cloth is a hemp-cotton blend. Side panels are a black stretch denim, sleeves are a lightweight denim.
Dress 2: Cotton poplin, and green denim
