especially for her birthday i sewed this pants and vest/blouse. the vest/blouse pattern is the old one from the GDR and the pattern for the pants is the one i used for my friend and me before.
for the top a curtain fabric from ikea ;P,
for the pants a stretch cotton mix

my sisters visit our family in the summer. and one day i wore my grey pants and she liked them a lot. she put mine on and they fit her, too. so i had no problem with the fitting ;).
the blouse was to tight at the waist. so I sewed a new ribbon on it and new button holes. it was not to bad cause the fronts are overlapped anyway. with a normal blouse it would be more difficult…
with the time i know the sizes from my friends, i tried to asked them unflashy. but most i make things which have not to fit closely or i can changed easy.

Indeed! And it seems to fit perfectly! Did you manage to make the pants to fit without her trying them on? (I find that quite tricky which is why I’m only ever making skirts and loose tops as suprise gifts)
