I can really imagine these dolls could become your granddaughters dearly beloved ones! :-)

Thank you for the kind words. I will be making more of these dolls for the holidays. As for wardrobes, I see a pronounced depletion of my remnant stash. N

i didn’t know that about the faces! it’s ingenious! i like what you did with the hair. i was thinking about stitching every strand of yarn on a doll head so it would be nice and full, but my girl is scissor happy and the strips are the way to go. have you seen the movie coraline? the other mother in the begining of the movie is making dolls and she pulls the hair off of it and puts it back on to make it look like coraline, but they were like plugs and it was yarn hair on a soft doll. i wanted to try that. i’m almost done making the matching shirts from your pattern. i think you’ll like them. ana555

No, I’m waiting for a new set of leather needles for hand sewing. The best part is the wig. It is yarn that’s sewn to a strip of doll fabric and hand stitched to the scalp. Should Dolly get an unfortunate haircut, grandma can replace it. Did you know that in the 1800s, cloth doll kits were sold with extra faces? If the face was rubbed off or too badly stained, you just sewed a new on right over the old. I’m setting up an additional set for these two. The shoes came from “homesew.com” which has about the best price for doll shoes, if you are only buying one or two of a style. Sorry, no killer stilettos. ;) Cordially, Nehmah
