I had already made this dress in some casual blue fabric and wanted to make another one to go out on my birthday. I adjusted the back pattern so that the wrap back hung out a bit more but this meant i had to add some ties at the top so i wasn’t constantly tugging the shoulders up all night. I also accidently snipped a big hole in the front and so had to shorten it quite a bit more than i wnated to… hence the jeans underneath.
plain black cotton, beautiful butterfly fabric from Ebay

I also like the butterfly fabric that peeks out, it’s like a special detail that you can only see if you’re really appreciating the garment, something that you wouldn’t find in stores!

I really like this, and I love your photos! Did you use a pattern for this or is from your own design? I love how you can see the butterfly fabric just peeking :)
