  This is gorgeous and looks amazing on you. Love the pattern, fabric and brooch. Sooo right about the pleates instead of gathers. Congrats.

  I love it!!! This is my next project – I have material & all other essentials… just need the stitching time. I do like the idea of the pleats, was it difficult?

    Thanks for the positive feedback!
    I made the skirt two sizes bigger than the rest of the dress – a 12 for the skirt and an 8 for the bodice and the waistband. This helped give a little more volume to the skirt and gave me a little more fabric to play with in the pleats. The hardest thing was making sure both sides were even, but after that it was plain sailing!
