I made this dress for my best friend as a birthday gift. It’s the longest I ever worked on a project but the whole design process was very time consuming and also it was the first time I ever draped or boned anything. I used a Burda pattern (#107, 03/2010) for the bustier dress that is made out of heavy cream colored cotton which I then boned and lined with hot pink fabric. The draped overlay is made out of purple silk chiffon. I’m 99% happy with the result, I just wish I would have inserted a purple zipper instead of a beige one.
