Burda Style For people who sew
Description
An Azalea dress made for my birthday! I have had the chiffon in my stash for a while and bought the other bits to match.
Pattern was very easy and the dress garnered loads of compliments. Also very comfy. Modeled today by my ever helpful assistant!
Material Notes
Bodice and belt – off white duchess satin
Overdress – shoe and bra print chiffon with gold stripe
Underdress – yellow/lime/peach paisley print satin

Yeah I must admit I was a bit worried before I put the belt on!! Made a huge difference, I put at my natural waist, but I guess you could experiment with it a bit lower down to make it a bit more casual.

It’s amazing the difference that belt makes— I like the look of the Azalea so much more with it! (Before it looked kind of like a maternity dress to me.) Anyway, it looks lovely.

i have this pattern all printed out, I’m just waiting for the right material to fall into my lap! Yours is so adorable, I escpecially love the printed chiffon. Great job and what a cute asistant…!
