My first menswear attempt. Also my first collar and buttonholes.
Had a few issues – first time around the sleeves were on the wrong sides (don’t laugh, it really wasn’t obvious!). Was also tricky to do as a surprise, without measurements, so I ended up taking in the sides by an inch afterwards.
Next time I’ll make the collar a fair bit smaller – it’s a bit out of date for a casual shirt.
Fits him better than me – I swear! (he just wasn’t around to model… I’ll make sure he is for the next one)
Nice, off-white cotton with a slight rib texture. Rustic red/white stripe trim in the collar stand and plackets. Red buttons in 2 sizes.

Shhh!!!! Don’t tell my husband about this – he’ll want one as good as the one you made! :-) No, seriously – the shirt is great and you did an excellent job!!!

Looks very cool. I like the red buttons together with the bright white crispiness of the shirt!
