Something I made to spruce up our house during my birthday.
I used a plethora of vintage fabrics and a liner of (what I like to call) “dingle-berries” to give it some dimension.
I should probably take a better close-up photo.

How did you attach the triangles to the cord?

I got a thicker ribbon (both in width and durability) and folded it in half, placing the triangles inside the fold. Then I pressed them with an iron (just to make sure there was a distinct folding line there) and sewed it all up.

This is a very clever way to use up scraps! I must give it a whirl.
Also, your husband(?) looks very much like Xavier Rudd in this photo :)

I love this! This is so cute. I have been meaning to make one for some time (really, it is on my to-do list). You have just inspired me to just “get it done”. Though, I may not take it down after the celebrations are over!
