And so I was wondering what could it be that one could make as a present to the new niece/few… when this wonderful idea appeared in front of my eyes…

This gorgeous toy can actually be done by hand or machine… with all those bits of fabric one always have in the back draw…
this is my first attempt…. i stuffed him with cotton and it looks like a muscle bird… need to think, need to think

    If you make the curve on the belly slightly softer it can help. I made a huge one of these and learned that lesson before I was asked to make two smaller ones. The way the curves (on the back body part) are drawn, they tend to look more squared off.
