From the first time I saw the Birdie Sling pattern I wanted to sew it. I had a rest of fabric of my dress an the light green sheet of the bag I made some days ago so I sewed a test bag.
I like it a lot – but for wearing it with the ornamental dress I should have turned the the other way round…(Of course I recognized it when I finished the last seam!) but I still have a rest of the fabrics in my stash, maybe I’ll make another one.
Black, ornamental and light green cotton

OMG : D I am In love, the contrast of the vintage black offsets the material beautifully and the red stitching simply perfects it.

Fabulous job. I’ve admired this pattern as well, I love Butler’s work. You’re dress turned out great too, looks like it fits really nice.
