This is my second attempt at a Mathilde dress (altered from Tilly’s lovely Mathilde blouse) and I’m infinitely more pleased with this attempt than my last one!
This time I got rid of the tucks at the front and gathered the fabric instead. I wanted to work with the chiffon and get something that was lovely and floaty. I also got rid of the buttons down the back and instead made a cute cut out with a fabric covered button at the neckline. I super pleased with it and like that with a slip underneath you can see through the fabric and it’s not indecent!
All french seemed and bias binding on the inside so there are no messy insides :)
It’s helped me get over my chiffon fear so I see many more chiffon makes in my future!
