Another Balloon Skirt from my favorite Japanese sewing book. Unfortunately, I don’t read Japanese so I can’t share the title, but I’ve attached an image of the book cover. The isbn # is 9784471400682 if anyone wants to try to find it online.
Given how simple the skirt is (just 2 rectangular pieces with elastic at the waist and hem!), I really wanted to find a unique fabric pattern. I bought this Jackdaws White from OnlineFabricStore.net on a whim, and I knew that it would be perfect for this project. It’s such a wearable skirt, especially for a mom-on-the-go, but just fancy enough to not look “too comfortable” ;) I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the number of compliments I’ve received on this one.
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
